Cultures is a good game in which each and every one of the game's characters is important to the growth and welfare of their kin- each having their own minds and talents.
Their lives are in your hands.
The story begins many, many years ago in a small village, somewhere in Greenland.
Cute little Vikings sail on a grand adventure only to lose their mighty wind in the doldrums.
In Cultures: The Beginning you are a dwarf-like character collecting gold while using your bow to shoot the bears and boars that come out of the "generators".
In this Gauntlet like game your enemy is the clock, so the sooner you complete the game the better.
Cartoony little Vikings make it into a quirky strategic town building and economic sim.
After weeks of searching, they came upon a new continent (North America), where it is now their task to start new settlements, colonize the country, discover unknown lands, and find the missing pieces of the broken sun.
A very exciting and fun campaign, with many delightful characters.
Instantly gratifying with rewarding long term gameplay.
Players must undertake 13 complex missions with multiple mission objectives. Single and multiplayer (LAN & Internet) options with up to 6 player games across the Internet.
Enjoy Cultures!

StoryIn a dark premonition, the Viking Bjarni sees an epic struggle between human and God.
In the final battle for the world between good and evil, he must face the legendary Midgard Serpent.
Accompanied by three courageous companions, Bjarni must journey to battle the Midgard Serpent.
Along the way, he discovers new lands and peoples, develops useful technologies, and most importantly, unites medieval Europe in the struggle against evil!
(Each separate part of the story has a "History" tab you can click on to read up on the Norse people and the events that were used to put together parts of the game, which helps to understand a little more of what the whole purpose behind the missions are.)
InformationYou are part of a Viking culture that is trying to build a civilization and bring cultures together.
You will take a handful of Viking explorers and use them to create villages and explore the land.
Each villager is used for their own unique purpose in helping to get things running, as you will assign such tasks to each male citizen as woodcutting, stone extracting, or farming ... each one vital in it's own way.
Women are present as well throughout the small dwellings, are responsible for things like increasing the population and keeping the men and children healthy so the village can thrive.
Every townsperson has their own role to play, each one important to ensure survival.
This game is all about supervision and micromanagement at times.
It's a lot of fun watching your Norse village grow and thrive under your direction, but it can also create somewhat of a downside as well.
You'll find some good practice with looking after upwards of 7 however many seemingly endless vikings and making sure that they are eating, sleeping, praying, doing what you tell them to do (sometimes they tend to hang out and say that they can't find anything to do, and have to be assigned work areas) and getting married or rotating jobs so they don't get bored.
